Jepkes, Michael

Michael Jepkes ( Amsterdam 1938 ) received his education at the Academie voor Beeldende Vorming in Tilburg. He was taught by Nico Molenkamp and Ru van Rossem. His attention for graphics has always been present and was stimulated by teacher Maarten Krabbé with all kinds of technical experiments. Initially he made linocuts and monotypes, but from the early seventies almost exclusively etchings, in which he combines various techniques (dry needle, aquatint, engraving or mezzotint) in one print.
