Wim Jurcka was a painter and draftsman. He lived and worked in Arnhem, Apeldoorn, Amsterdam, Middelburg and Vlissingen from 1945 and in Eindhoven from 1959. After the Second World War he definitively chose art. He worked abstractly and figuratively. Already in the twenties of the last century he came up with special abstractions in his works. Jurcka worked with great enthusiasm and must have been drawing almost incessantly. During his life he experienced little appreciation and suffered poverty. The fascinating originality of the work is given the appreciation it deserves after Jurcka's death. His work is represented in the collection of Museum Belv_d
