HENK RIJZINGA, born 28-4-1946 in Uithuizen and died 4-4-2013 in Amsterdam, painter, sculptor and activist. Henk Rijzinga was self-taught and active as an artist since 1972. His studio was located in Amsterdam. He made free work (paintings and sculptures) and also carried out projects in the public space. He called his paintings 'reveries or reflections on the landscape, abstract but with a figurative slant'.
