Gerard 't Hart. Dutch school. Gerard 't HART (The Hague 1933) Painter, graphic artist, sculptor. Gerard 't Hart studied at the Free Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague from 1955 to 1960. He lives and works in The Hague. Gerard 't Hart creates various types of works; from sculptures and chalk drawings to wall reliefs. 't Hart draws inspiration from the many journeys he has made, which he was prompted to do by his work on the ships of the Holland America Line. His art pays homage to Buddhist, Hindu and ancient American cultures, depicting ancient myths, customs and rituals. The most important element in his work is always colour; 't Hart uses it to create an atmosphere of vitality. Exhibitions and awards: Besides exhibitions in Switzerland and France, 't Hart's work has been exhibited several times in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Great Silkscreen.
