Andrès Segovia (1929-1996)

Segovia is known for his surrealist still life paintings, and was the son of the noted classical guitarist of the same name. A 20th-century Argentinean artist, Andres or Andre Segovia first studied in BuenosAires. He moved to Paris in the early 1950s to complete his studies in Europe, and by the mid-1950s his paintings and lithographs had been accepted into exhibitions throughout Europe, the United States, and Argentina. His works can nowbe found in the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles as well as others. Good condition. Weight 6 pounds.
