Nicolette EENHORST (1948 - 2012)
Followed sculpture classes at Diemen University of Applied Sciences and the Gooische Academie in Laren. Man and animal are Nicolette's main sources of inspiration. The interplay of lines is most important in her works. Over the years, she has evolved from classic figurative to a certain degree of abstraction, especially in the work in stone. In her bronzes, on the other hand, she has a greater eye for detail and, depending on the material she works with, her work is often distinctly realistic. She considers the purchase by the municipality of Enschede of her sculpture 'The silent march', in memory of the victims of the fireworks disaster, an important event in her life as a sculptor.
