Frank LENGVENIUS (Brunssum 1952) From 1971 to 1974 Lengvenius received his training at the Academy of Visual Arts St. Joost in Breda. After his training at the academy, Frank Lengvenius returned to the mining region where he came from, to settle in the place where his love of painting was born at an early age. There he held studios in, among other places, an old milk factory and in a farmhouse. Lengvenius was inspired by city life; houses, bridges and ladders were recurring motifs. Initially his work consisted mainly of very dark colors; gradually bright, exuberant colors began to play a larger role. Handsigned and numbered. Comes from the collection of the municipality of The Hague, The Netherlands.
