Giuliano Pini was born in 1935 in Florence. Self-taught, he counts Ottone Rosai among his first admirers. His first personal exhibition in Florence dates back to 1960, at the Galleria Nuova Corrente. His work is mainly divided into large cycles whose theme is the human being with all his pains, but also dreams and myths. It is from 1970 "Time has hands" and in 1979 "The point to reach" with a text by Renzo Vespignani in the catalogue. In 1982 he presented the cycle "The dream building - The enchanting work of Richard Wagner" at the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara ; the exhibition "The roots of cry" and "Flamenco" dedicated to Antonio Gades will follow. In 1991 in the Melotti Art Studio in Ferrara, he narrated the city with “Ferrara: the myths, the characters, the ghosts”. In May-June 1997 he was at the Istituto degli Innocenti in Florence with the exhibition "Florence, the time of memory - Florentine chronicles". His constant companion is the passion for music and theater. In 2000 everything suddenly stops: his voice, his hand, his sure-footedness, but not his will and everyone's hope. And so until May 2017. Comes from the collection of the municipality of The Hague, The Netherlands.
