VOC201
Model ship of a VOC War Ship. Some parts are loose (all still present) and must be reattached. After repairs, this is a truly unique and beautiful interior piece. It is worth restoring this to its former glory. The Dutch East India Company, officially the United East India Company (Dutch: Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie (VOC), was a multinational corporation founded by a government-directed consolidation of several rival Dutch trading companies (voorcompagnieën) in the early 17th century. It is believed to be the largest company ever to have existed in recorded history. With the VOC share issue, the first stock exchange in the world came into being. In 1637 the market value of the VOC reached its highest point of 78 million guilders. Converted to 2022, that is an estimated value of 7 trillion (7,000,000,000) euros, and thus the highest stock market value of a company ever.
