Jan Płaskociński (1919 Chruślanki - 1993 Warsaw) - representative of naive painting. He was self-taught. He was considered the most interesting contemporary individual among contemporary primitivist painters. His paintings, full of the strangest botanical specimens, were populated with mysterious, thoughtful figures. Animals received decorative forms, although they still remained lions, tigers, elephants. These artist's gardens were created under the influence of a longing for magical gardens, similar to paradise visions. His paintings have been exhibited abroad, including in Switzerland.
