Louis Heijmans 1890 - 1944
Louis Heijmans was originally a painter, draughtsman, lithographer and etcher, who worked mainly in Zeeland. He was known for his paintings and etchings that were often naturalistic in character. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, he moved back to Zeeland, where he continued to live and work and which was also often the subject of his works. Heijmans was a member and co-founder of art circle Het Zuiden.
