Jan Michielsen (1939-2010) was a Dutch graphic artist and painter. Jan Michielsen trained at the Academy of Fine Arts Sint-Joost. He also taught there until 1980. He lived and worked at Havermarkt and in Ginneken. He received the Sint Joost medal in 1965. Michielsen painted realistic paintings with the atmosphere of the Dutch Masters of the Golden Age, often referring to Rembrandt. His paintings included still lifes.
